ABSTRACT
As we discussed in earlier sections of this book, our government is designed to work effectively by allocating power to three distinct branches of the government. The Constitution allocates and authorizes that power to the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. But just how much power do the courts have under the Constitution? In the following sections we will explore this issue. We begin by defining the characteristics and attributes of judicial power.
