ABSTRACT

Chemical analyses, grain size composition tests and Atterberg limits were defined and additionally mineralogical analyses were realized in order for soils to be classified (Table 1, 2).

Both samples contained low percentage of sulfates, allowing us to foresee a fairly low susceptibility to efflorescence. Soils A and B showed a high content in SiO2 and Al2O3, in accordance with a high content in clay minerals. Soil B was more calcareous than A, and that both have abundant Fe+++.
