ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Problems of early degradation, reduced service life and repair costs that overhead the price of structure itself, have resulted in development of new materials and technologies for repair of concrete structures. Recent results show that High Performance Fiber-Reinforced Micro Concrete (HPFRMC), used as repair material, has very good properties concerning stability, serviceability and durability. For that reason there has been a growing interest in the use of HPFRMC for repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures. The aim of this research was to evaluate the efficiency of high performance fiber-reinforced micro-concrete as a repair material when applied on concrete beam. During the research testing of compressive strength, flexural strength, modulus of elasticity and toughness has been performed on concrete beams repaired with high performance fiber-reinforced micro-concrete and cement mortar. Results of this research have proven that the use of high performance fiber-reinforced micro-concrete as repair material has both economical and technical advantages.
