ABSTRACT
Overlay repair by fibre-reinforced Strain Hardening Cement-Based Composites (SHCC) should exploit the multiple cracking feature of SHCC, whereby significant ductility is achieved in loading actions including tension, flexure and shear. The multiple cracks are controlled to fine widths, whereby gas, moisture and chloride ingress is retarded significantly, affording structural durability to the repaired system.
