ABSTRACT
Gait data normally appear as a time series pattern. Analysis of this time series pattern may reveal any anomalies that appear in the data and helps in injury prevention and rehabilitation processes. In general, ANN is widely used in biomechanics (Barakna, 2006). There exist base line data of gait patterns based on general western population. However, gait pattern for athletes, especially in the Asia region, might be different from those existing databases. Therefore, analysis of movement patterns of athletes in Asia should not be based on the general western population database.
