ABSTRACT
As a novel functional material, porous silicon(PS) has nano-pores, a very large internal surface area and a good bio-compatibility. It has drawn considerable attention because of its strong photoluminescent property at room temperature. It can decrease the photoluminescent degrees of PS with increasing concentration of sulfur dioxide, except some gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and so on, which is the basis of sulfur dioxide sensing. A great amount of work has been done to modify it, because of it own shortages.
