ABSTRACT

The functional state (FS) of a human being is an integral component of the physiological and psychological processes of adjusting to ever-changing work conditions. The main purpose for studying FS is to determine how these changes impact productivity during training or work shifts (Bedny and Meister 1997). In activity theory, the following types of FS are distinguished: fatigue, monotony, stress, anxiety, tension, and functional comfort and discomfort.
