ABSTRACT
The problem of detection, classification, and measurement of irregularities of a function /( t ) , x = t E [c, d], arises in many applications. Its importance is well-known in computer vision, computer graphics, geology, tomography, etc. For this reason many authors have studied this problem. Girard [3], Lee [5] and Mallat [4] tackled this problem from different points of view.
