Inthecaseofahotrolledproductintendedforcoldrolling,thereareinternalrequirementsfor tighteningthegeometricaltolerancessothatthegaugeperformanceduringcoldrollingcanbeimproved. Thereis,however,aprincipaldifferencebetweenthegaugerequirementsforhotrolledcoilsthataresold ashotbandascomparedtothoseintendedforcoldrolling.Itisexpectedtohavethehotbandgaugeas closeaspossibletothetargetvalue.However,themostimportantgoalinapplicationtocoilsintendedfor coldrollingwouldbetoproduceagaugeofaconstantvaluewhichmaynotnecessarybeitstargetvalue.
