AccordingtostudiesconductedbySibakin,etal[8],differentialoverallrollwear,i.e.thedifference inradiusbetweentherollcenterandthetwoendsduetowear,islinearlyproportionaltothetonnage rolledinahotstripfinishingtrain(Fig.19.22).ItisnotablethattherollsinstandsF1andF2showavery smallincreaseindifferentialoverallrollwearwithincreasingtonnage,whereas,therollsinstandsF4,FS, andF6wearrapidlyandthoseinstandF3appeartomarkatransitionbetweenverylittlewearandvery rapidwear.
