Multiple groove rolls - Edging capability can also be improved by using rolls with two or more grooves of different sizes. In the design proposed by Mesta Machine [4], the vertical edging rolls are connected with spindles through splined type couplings (Fig. 16.4 ). The roll height adjustment mechanism is located under each edging roll and provides positioning of the selected groove at the mill pass line.
