ABSTRACT
This paper summarizes information regarding the infill systems used in Greece in the vast majority of buildings. Data are presented regarding the importance of the building sector in Greece, the typical structural systems applied in buildings, the materials used and construction types applied for enclosure and partition walls. The main problems related to the pathology of infills due to earthquakes are mentioned. Finally, the perspectives of the brick production sector, as well as masonry infill construction are presented.
