ABSTRACT
HAZOP is the most rigorous, structured and systematic technique for hazard identification, which allows identifying potential hazards and operational problems in chemical processes and other facilities, generally documented through piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), supplemented by design specifications and other details used in the design work, including flow diagrams, material and energy balances.
