ABSTRACT
Predictive and condition based maintenance policies are intended to assess the state of health of the devices to which they are applied. This objective is achieved by running a continuous (sometimes might also be on-line) monitoring of the equipments. The ultimate purpose is to carry out the best maintenance operations at themost appropriate time, obviously before the system’s failure, in order to minimize the overall costs.
