ABSTRACT
To establish a unique definition of a Technology Assessment (TA) office is not an easy task, especially because many different organisations (agencies, non-governmental organizations, lobbies, universities or parliamentary committees) claim their activities to be TA-labelled because they provide information on science and technology issues.
