ABSTRACT
R e c e n t t e s t d r i l l i n g h a s s h o w n t h a t m u c h o f t h e f a r m i s u n d e r l a i n b y t w o e x t e n s i v e a q u i f e r s . T h e e x i s t i n g w e l l s o n t h e f a r m a n d m o s t o f t h e w e l l s i n t h e s u r r o u n d i n g a r e a e x p l o i t t h e s u p e r f i c i a l a q u i f e r . T h i s a q u i f e r c o n t a i n s g o o d q u a l i t y w a t e r a n d i s s u b j e c t t o a n n u a l r e c h a r g e d u r i n g r a i n f a l l e v e n t s i n t h e Oman m o u n t a i n s . T h e s e c o n d d e e p e r a q u i f e r a t B a r k a r e p r e s e n t s a m u c h l a r g e r g r o u n d w a t e r o c c u r r e n c e .
