ABSTRACT

We have investigated the magneto-optical properties of lD X in the QWRs. Figure 2 shows the peak energies of the X PL in the QWRs and QW as a function of the magnetic field. The magnetic field dependence of the X-PL peak energy can be described well by the sum of the zero-field energy, the diamagnetic shift and the Zeeman splitting. The effective g factors of the QWRs and the QW obtained from the Zeeman splitting are -4.2 and - 3.6, respectively. The X reduced masses for the QWRs and the QW obtained from the diamagnetic shift are 0.095m0 and 0.084m0, respectively. It is considered that the lateral confinement in the QWRs increases the effective g factor and X reduced masses.
