ABSTRACT
Introduction There have been many researches to understand the discharge dynamics of an AC PDP(Plasma Display
Panel) cell by observing the emissions from the cell using high speed CCD camera[l][2] in order to design more luminous efficient cell structure and the driving waveforms. In this work, we have observed the IR(Infra Red) emission from a surface discharge type AC PDP cell during reset, address and sustain period in the conventionally used Ramp reset driving method.
