ABSTRACT

In this survey we discuss developments in the study of superintegrability in Classical and Quantum Mechanics. For the purposes of this article we restrict ourselves to the notion of quadratic superintegrability which is the requirement that a given classical mechanical system in n dimensions admit https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> 2 n − 1 https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429076619/c00d8d0d-b3a0-431a-a3c2-e044ea15f7a5/content/eq852.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> constants of the motion that are quadratic in the canonical momenta, with the corresponding analogue in the case of quantum mechanics.
