ABSTRACT
The dynamics of anyons interacting with a constant electromagnetic field is described in a unified formalism by means of symmetry groups. We follow systematically the coadjoint-orbit method applied to the appropriate groups, known as Maxwell groups, outlining the main differences with the results obtained using other approaches.
