ABSTRACT
The method of symmetry reduction is systematically applied to derive invariant and partially invariant solutions of the Chaplygin and Born-Infeld equations. For this purpose, the classification of the one- and two-dimensional subalgebras of these two models is performed. Several new types of solutions have been obtained.
