ABSTRACT

We present mesoscopic experiments involving spin-dependent ballistic transport under spin-orbit interaction, in geometries fabricated on the heterostructures InSb/InAlSb and InAs/AlGaSb. We demonstrate spin-dependent reflection off a lithographic barrier, and describe transverse magnetic focusing experiments. Further, quantum interference oscillations in antidot lattices and loop arrays are utilized to center deduce spin-orbit scattering lengths and phase coherence lengths.
