The effect of thickness on the wavelength sensitivity to solar radiation applies only to polymers in which the main absorption band extends into the spectral region of the light source. For aliphatic-type polymers, thickness has a negligible effect on absorption properties in this spectral region; hence, on the wavelength sensitivity to solar radiation.
