ABSTRACT
Although the separation technologies for mixed plastics improved substantially in the last 3 years, there will always be a portion of collected plastics present in the mixed form (mainly for economic reasons). If this material (stemming mostly from household collection) is properly cleaned, it can be considerably upgraded by using different additives, such as modifiers, compatibilizers and stabilizers.
