O-Alkylhydroxylamines were unambiguously identified in the aged polyolefin matrix doped with HAS and should be considered as the dominant reservoir of nitroxides.

Recent analyses of experimental data obtained with HAS-doped polymers revealed the potential importance of charge-transfer complexes [HAS ... O2], [Polymer ... O2], or [HAS ... ROO·] in the very early stages of the stabilization mechanism (86).
