      ABSTRACT

      An investigation has been made on the flexural tests of crimped steel fiber ferrocement plates in comparison with traditional ferrocement. The results of first cracking and ultimate loadings of flexural tests are discussed.

      Observations on the cracking development were made and the load-deflection diagrams were also determinated.

      The steel fiber ferrocement plates have shown a better behaviour than conventional ferrocement, with higher ultimate and cracking flexural strengths, better cracking distribution and load-deflection diagram configuration, showing a higher toughness of fiber reinforced composites
