ABSTRACT

Twenty PFRC beams were tested to destruction to study their overall behaviour in pure flexure. Some inferences are made on flexural capacity, crack arresting property, overall flexural stiffness etc. of PFRC beams. An expression of ultimate moment of resistance has been developed, where different stress block and post yield parameters are considered which are established from the analysis of experimental data and previous references. Theoretically predicted ultimate moment of resistance values are compared with experimental results and good agreements have been observed.
