All available steel model test data have been collated, and the loaddeformation curves for each specimen have been extensively interrogated to allow extraction of the relevant information to meet the above aims. The databases created have been subjected to rigorous screening, consistent with the approach adopted in the current HSE static strength project (HSE, 1991). The assessments below concentrate on DT joints.
