ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION AND INITIAL DEVELOPMENT The Club was founded in 1905 by a group of local lads who played their first game in the Woolwich and District League. They joined the Football League in 1921 and played their first League game at The Valley on 21 August 1921 against Exeter City AFC.
