ABSTRACT
The ideal situation for the manufacturer would be to have a control system whereby all the in-process constant parameters, as defined by Fulford, Howarth,
Robinson and Lowe (1991), and the desired deposit thickness are entered into a system and then the required machine parameters would be automatically set by the machines’s control system. Prior to achieving this, it is necessary to have full computer control and suitable models of the parameter relationships.
