ABSTRACT
The use of simulation modelling to design new manufacturing systems and to “finetune” the performance of existing systems has been gaining publicity in great pace. The increased complexity in modern manufacturing systems, sharp fall in computer hardware costs, improvements in simulation software and the availability of animation have all contributed to its recognition in manufacturing industries.
