ABSTRACT
I. INTRODUCTION Agroecosystems are man-made and human influences are increasing. Several events, such as soil tillage, fertilization, and application of pesticides during a cropping season, as well as the export of harvest products, interfere severely with the soil-bome foodwebs by cutting the functional chains. Consequently, only short periods are left for the organisms and populations to regenerate.
