ABSTRACT

Throughout the world, recycled water is important in land and water resources management as it provides quality water for irrigation, industrial and urban water requirements (Asano and Levine, 1996; Bond, 1998). Land application of recycled water has been practised worldwide since the nineteenth century (Feigin et al., 1991). In addition to the water benefit to irrigated land, concurrent loading of nutrients (N and P) may improve the fertility of soils and increase plant productivity.
