ABSTRACT
Figure 4.3 demonstrates how vegetative microspore of moss Poly trichum germinate (has no the chlorophyll maximum in the dry state) and fluoresces in blue-yellow with maxima 460 (or shoulder) and 580 nm. After two d of germination, the red fluorescence at 680 nm appeared in the spectrum then the divided cell is converted to prothallium with bright fluorescence, peculiar to chlorophyll.
