AN INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING PROGRAM AT A US NUCLEAR RESEARCH FACILITY

Fish and wildlife monitoring shows that chinook salmon spawning in the Columbia River at Hanford has increased in recent years with a concomitant increase in the number of bald eagles during winter. Nesting Canada goose and great blue heron, and various plants and other animals, e.g., elk, mule deer, and coyotes are common.
