ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT A method to increase the nutrient percentage in the sludges produced in a waste water treatement system is described. To improved the concentration of nitrogen and potassium in the sludges, these have been treated by a solution of ammonia and potassium nitrats in a stirred tank, and some variables with influence on the process have been studied. The obtained results have indicated an estimable increase in the fertilization power of the sludge.
