ABSTRACT
A fifteenth scale model of a 10 storey steel framed building designed to UBC: 88 has been built and tested on the SERC shaking table at Bristol. The modal properties were determined from sine sweep tests. These tests were followed by earthquake time history tests of increasing severity which excited the model to ductility ratios of up to 8. The test data are currently being compared with the results of analyses using the explicit non linear analysis code Oasys-DYNA3D; correlations are excellent.
