ABSTRACT
Recent standardization activities o f IEEE are in the area o f Wireless Local Area Networks [ 3 -5 ] . The IEEE has installed a committee for standardization o f dubbed 802.11 for wireless radio L A N s ( W L A N s ) within the 2.4 Ghz band. The future standard should enable data transmission rate o f 1 or 2 Mbps using CSMA/CA medium access protocol and error control at frame level.
