ABSTRACT

The assumption is made that the reader is familiar wi th standard control system design techniques. We also assume that the reader is familiar wi th the workings o f an internal combustion engine. In particular we assume that the reader is familiar wi th the way the engine combines air and fuel to provide a combustible mixture that w i l l power the engine, and the fact that the engine consists o f four strokes.
