ABSTRACT
Bonding ability can be considered one of the most important fiber properties, espe cially for reinforcement fibers that are used to ensure the required strength in paper. In addition to providing necessary strength properties, the structure and properties of bonded regions also affect all mechanical, optical, thermal, and electrical proper ties of the paper sheet. The bonding ability of fibers is determined by bonding strength and bonded area.
