ABSTRACT
The behavior of carbon electrodes in the presence of water has been studied by Watanabe and co-workers [31] by cyclic voltammetry. These authors claimed that the discharge of water is observed at potentials lower than the potential of discharge of HF2 leading to fluorine evolution.
