ABSTRACT
Superficial mycoses are caused by parasitic fungi of the keratin. They are called dermatophytes and belong to the gender Trichophyton, Microsporum and Epidermophyton. They infect the skin, the hair and nails, and occasionally, they involve deep tissue.
