ABSTRACT
This disease is also known as bouba, parangi and paru. It is an infectious and chronic non-venereal disease. It is transmitted by direct contact and caused by Treponema pallidum var. pertenue. It is more common in children, and it is characterized by a primary ulcerated lesion, secondary macular lesions, papules and plaques and late destructive lesions.
