ABSTRACT
Acne is perhaps the most common dermatological ailment in the world and the most frequent cause of dermatological consultations. It is an inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous follicle that occurs in the adolescence although it persists with frequency to adult life. It commonly causes psychological problems at an age in which physical appearance is critical for the proper development of personality.
