ABSTRACT
Nimal Senanayake Reflex epilepsies encompass epilepsies in which seizures are regularly provoked
by a specific stimulus or event. Among the reflex epilepsies, photosensitive epilepsy (PSE) where visual stimuli trigger seizures, is the most extensively studied.1"4 A vari ety of other ‘external stimuli’ such as auditory, vestibular, olfactory, gustatory, and somatosensory, as well as ‘internal’ stimuli such as visceral and cognitive functions are also known to precipitate seizures.5
