ABSTRACT
Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, developed by Glaxo in the 1970s. It has been used worldwide for more than three decades against a variety of bacterial infections. There are two modes of cefuroxime administration available: cefuroxime sodium and cefuroxime axetil.
