ABSTRACT
An attempt is made in this study to analyze various dimensions such as the problems in regard to the induction of women in the Police Force; crime against women and involvement of women in crime; the role of the women police in discharging the functions of the Police Department such as maintaining law and order eectively; and the steady growth of the women police to ensure gender pride. is study, having contemplated all such issues, draws a few ways and means that would be helpful to improve the administration of the Police Department in enriching its objectives of serving the people more eectively with the eective role of the women police.
