ABSTRACT

A system to measure and evaluate functional reachable area on the human body that meets the special requirements of soldiers and military equipment. The human, body was divided into 32 parts based on the equipment and systems carried by a Chinese soldier. Three grades - Comfort Reach, MAX-Reach, and Unreachable - were used to evaluate the reachability of each part of the body. Subjects were evaluated in three positions: standing, kneeling and prone. Data was verified through the maximum membership principal, and the result is satisfactory.
