ABSTRACT

For cast concrete, laboratory experiments have shown strength increase of the order of 100% at 12-hour age, as compared to concrete produced under the same condition without the action of electric gradient (Ferreira, 1997, Ferreira & Celestino, 1999). No strength loss was observed at 28-day age, as usual with some chemical additives of thermal curing. The method efficiency was checked with different types of cement and concrete mixes, as reported by Ferreira & Celestino (2001).
