ABSTRACT

Packings were always constructed with the same procedure in order to be certain there is not much dispersion in the initial packing fraction who has been found to influence the stability of the system (Nagel et al 1992; Evesque et al 1993; Aguirre et al 2000). The coordination numbers were obtained for 10 systems in order to verify the disorder of the packings, giving a mean coordination number of Z = 3.8 ± 0.4, which indicates a stable disordered system.
